30,000 Demand MGM, NBC Stop Protecting Donald Trump, Release Tapes from ‘The Apprentice’
A new petition from UltraViolet Action, a national women’s advocacy organization, is calling on MGM and NBC to stop protecting Donald Trump and release tapes from The Apprentice, and any other NBC shows that may contain footage of Trump, after Emmy Award-winning producer Chris Nee alleged that the show’s producers are sitting on footage that includes footage of Donald Trump using the n-word. The petition has been signed by more than 30,000 people in less than four hours since it went live on Monday afternoon.
“For years, NBC and Mark Burnett have protected Donald Trump and built his brand. But the 2005 leaked video of Donald Trump bragging about sexually assaulting women changes things,” explained Nita Chaudhary, co-founder of UltraViolet Action. “NBC and MGM Studios need to stop protecting Donald Trump and release these tapes. The American people deserve to know if Donald Trump is a serial sexual predator and racist before heading to the polls this November.”
UltraViolet Action is an online community of over 1,000,000 women and men who want to take collective action to expose and fight sexism in the public sector, private sector and the media. Find out more at WeAreUltraViolet.org
