THIS WEEKEND: Women’s Group Follows Trump To Palm Beach With “More Popular Than Trump” Ad Campaign
TV Ad Pointing Out Things More Popular Than Trump to Run This Weekend On Morning Shows on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Meet the Press, Face the Nation, This Week and Saturday Night Live in Palm Beach
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA — This weekend, as Donald Trump visits his Mar-A-Lago country club, a new TV ad campaign will saturate the Palm Beach media market highlighting things that are “more popular than Trump.” The campaign, paid for by UltraViolet, a leading women’s group, points out that the Affordable Care Act, abortion access, paid family leave and even the band Nickelback, are more popular than Trump. The 30-second spot will run on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, as well as NBC’s Meet the Press, CBS’s Face the Nation, ABC’s This Week and on Saturday Night Live. Later this month, UltraViolet will be putting up billboards in the Palm Beach area with the same theme.

“Time and time again, Donald Trump makes it clear to the public that his popularity matters more to him than than virtually anything else,” said Shaunna Thomas, Co-founder of UltraViolet. “So here is a fact he will especially hate: abortion access is just one of many things that are more popular than Trump. But like the small number of Americans who support Trump, those who support taking away access to safe and legal abortion are NOT the majority.”
In the ads, UltraViolet cites polls showing that 70% of Americans approve of abortion access, while only 38% of Americans approve of Donald Trump.

“And it’s not just abortion access that’s more popular than Trump. The overwhelming majority of Americans like the Affordable Care Act and support policies that would guarantee paid family leave for workers. As Trump vacations in Mar-A-Lago for the fourth time since he took the oath of office – we hope these ad drive that point home. Trump, America is not that into you,” added Thomas.
