UltraViolet Action to Fly Plane Banners Over Stadiums in Ann Arbor, Columbus, Iowa City, Philadelphia and Durham Reading “Trump Says Women R Pigs. Disagree? Vote.”

This Saturday, UltraViolet Action, a national women’s advocacy organization, has commissioned five airplanes to fly over college football stadiums in key swing states highlighting Donald Trump’s long record of misogyny and urging young people to vote. The planes will fly over the Wisconsin v. Michigan game in Ann Arbor, the Rutgers v. Ohio State game in Columbus, the Northwestern v. Iowa game in Iowa City, the SMU v. Temple game in Philadelphia and the Virginia v. Duke game in Durham.

The planes will carry a banner reading “Trump Says Women R Pigs. Disagree? Vote.” highlighting Donald Trump’s repeated anti-woman comments and egregiously sexist rhetoric and comes after Monday’s presidential debate where Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton slammed Trump for calling women “pigs, “dogs,” and “slobs.”

“Donald Trump is a sexist whose toxic misogynistic rhetoric has no place in our political system – let alone in the White House. Not only does he publicly insult women, he actually brags about it – and this should tell every voter in the country all they need to know about Donald Trump and how he would govern. Trump’s anti-woman history is so long that we couldn’t even fit a small percentage of it onto these planes,” explained Shaunna Thomas, co-founder of UltraViolet Action. “With the first female major party candidate in history going up against the most sexist, bigoted and unqualified candidate in modern history – it is up to voters, especially young people in key swing states to register to vote and make sure that this person never makes it to the White House.”
