UltraViolet on Sexual Assault Allegations Against NBC News’ Tom Brokaw
Women’s Group Says NBC Has Repeatedly Failed Survivors, Demands NBC News Hire Independent Investigator to Review NBC’s Culture of Harassment and Silence
Statement from Nita Chaudhary, co-founder of UltraViolet, a leading national women’s advocacy organization:
“We believe women. We believe Linda Vester.
“Sexual harassment and assault have no place in any workplace or anywhere in our society. The allegations against NBC News’ Tom Brokaw are deeply disturbing and completely unacceptable. NBC must take immediate steps to sever ties with Brokaw.
“This is not the first time that NBC News has failed survivors of sexual harassment and assault.
“The time for half-measures is over: In addition to severing ties with Brokaw, NBC must hire an independent investigator to look into all allegations of sexual harassment and assault at the network and take appropriate steps to remedy its culture of fear and silence.”

Give for survivor justice taking flight!
While Donald Trump and Pam Bondi want to change the subject, we refuse to let them off the hook for protecting predators. That’s why we're flying airplane banners to keep Trump’s ties to child sex abuser and trafficker Jeffrey Epstein in the news. Epstein’s more than 1,000 survivors deserve transparency and justice. Your gift today will keep the spotlight on Trump’s and Bondi’s deflections and center survivors in the public narrative!
