UltraViolet Slams Rep. Buddy Carter for Threatening Sen. Lisa Murkowski on MSNBC
Moments ago, during an MSNBC interview, Representative Buddy Carter (R-GA) said, “somebody needs to go over there to that Senate and snatch a knot in their ass,” when asked about Donald Trump’s statement regarding Senator Lisa Murkowski.
Nita Chaudhary, Co-founder of UltraViolet, a leading women’s advocacy organization, issued the following statement in response:
“Trying times bring out people’s true colors, and this week, we are certainly seeing the GOP’s true colors. For the second time in three days, a male GOP representative has made a threat of physical violence against a female Senator of his own party. These are no longer one-offs; this is a trend for the Republican Party. The Republican Party is now truly the party of Trump.”

Give for survivor justice taking flight!
While Donald Trump and Pam Bondi want to change the subject, we refuse to let them off the hook for protecting predators. That’s why we're flying airplane banners to keep Trump’s ties to child sex abuser and trafficker Jeffrey Epstein in the news. Epstein’s more than 1,000 survivors deserve transparency and justice. Your gift today will keep the spotlight on Trump’s and Bondi’s deflections and center survivors in the public narrative!
