On the Three Year Anniversary of the Leaked Access Hollywood Tape of Trump Bragging About Sexual Assault, Women’s Group Renews Calls to Hold Trump Accountable

WASHINGTON, DC — Three years ago today, October 7th, The Washington Post released a leaked Access Hollywood video featuring now-President Donald Trump bragging about sexual.

On the anniversary of the tape, Shaunna Thomas, co-founder and executive director of UltraViolet Action, a leading national women’s organization, issued the following statement:

“Donald Trump is a self-admitted serial sexual abuser who threatens the lives of women every day from the White House with hateful and misogynistic policies. Trump has also appointed like-minded abusers like Brett Kavanugh to the Supreme Court who will vote to take away our rights. Republicans in Congress have refused to hold Trump accountable for his actions, and endorsed his agenda at every turn.

“As the 2020 election approaches, let today serve as a reminder to Trump and to all Republicans in Congress: women have not forgotten that Trump is a virulent misogynist and  sexual predator and we will make our voices heard in the next Presidential election.”
