TODAY: Sexual Assault Survivors Protest Outside GOP Senate Offices in TX, ME, IA, CO, AZ and NV Demanding Kavanaugh Withdraw His Nomination for Supreme Court
Protestors Tell Senators Collins, Grassley, Cruz, Flake, Gardner, and Heller: A Sexual Predator Does Not Belong on the Supreme Court
Today, Monday, September 24th, survivors of sexual assault will rally outside the in-district offices of Senators Susan Collins (R-ME), Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Dean Heller (R-NV) and Cory Gardner (R-CO), to share their stories, support Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, and demand that the Senators call for Brett Kavanaugh to withdraw his nomination for the Supreme Court.
Sexual assault survivors and members of the women’s rights group UltraViolet Action will urge the Republican Senators to believe Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez and reject Kavanaugh, arguing that a sexual predator does not belong in any position of power, let alone on the highest court in the nation.

“We believe Deborah Ramirez. We believe Dr. Christine Blasey Ford. Brett Kavanaugh is a sexual predator and must withdraw his nomination for the Supreme Court,” explained Shaunna Thomas, Executive Director and Co-Founder of UltraViolet Action, a leading national women’s group. “Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez have demonstrated tremendous courage in coming forward and sharing their stories of how Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted them. Ramirez’s story is yet more proof that Kavanaugh should have already withdrawn his nomination and his wholly disqualified from holding any office in government, let alone one on the highest court in the country. Now is the time for Republicans in the Senate to make it clear that they believe women and find violence against women wholly unacceptable demanding Kavanaugh withdraw his nomination immediately. Anything less is a betrayal of women—one that voters will remember this November.”
