NEW YORK, NY — According to recent reports, Lindsey Boylan, a former special adviser to Governor Andrew Cuomo, has revealed an explosive pattern of Cuomo’s sexual innuendos, bullying, and abuse.
Since Boylan’s allegations became public, additional parties have confirmed the legitimacy of her descriptions regarding Cuomo’s behavior.
In response, Bridget Todd, director of communications for UltraViolet, a national women’s advocacy group, issued the following statement:
“The allegations against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo are deeply disturbing and completely unacceptable. He must be held accountable for his actions.
“Women like Lindsey Boylan put everything on the line when they come forward with their experiences in the hopes that the abuser will be held accountable. We believe her.
“Cuomo must be held accountable for his behavior. Already, various elected leaders have called for an investigation of Cuomo’s actions. We also support a transparent, third-party investigation of Lindsey’s and any other survivor who courageously shares their stories.
“We are grateful to Lindsey for courageously sharing her story, and we stand behind her.”
