WED. 11AM: LOOK UP – Women’s Group Flies Plane Over Boulder in Support of Deborah Ramirez

UltraViolet-Commissioned Plane Banner Reads: “THANK YOU DEBORAH. WE HAVE YOUR BACK”

BOULDER, COLORADO — Tomorrow, September 26th, starting at 11:00 AM, a plane will fly over Boulder reading “THANK YOU DEBORAH. WE HAVE YOUR BACK” applauding Deborah Ramirez’s bravery in coming forward to share her story about how Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her.

The plane was commissioned by UltraViolet, a leading national women’s advocacy organization, which supports sexual assault survivors.

“We believe Deborah Ramirez. We believe Christine Blasey Ford. Survivors of sexual assault don’t forget what happened to them,” explained Shaunna Thomas, co-founder of UltraViolet. “Deborah Ramirez made the decision to come forward, tell her story, and relive her sexual assault trauma in favor of protecting women everywhere. That takes tremendous courage. UltraViolet and its more than one million members want her to know that she is a hero and that we have her back.

“Violence against women has no place in our society, and it certainly has no place on the highest court in the nation. Brett Kavanaugh should withdraw his nomination.”

Over the weekend, The New Yorker broke a story saying that Senate Democrats had begun investigating a new claim of sexual abuse against Brett Kavanaugh, this report was from Deborah Ramirez who claimed that Brett Kavanaugh exposed himself to her and thrust his penis in her face without her consent while they were both students at Yale University.

Last week, UltraViolet flew a plane over Palo Alto reading, “THANK YOU CHRISTINE. WE HAVE YOUR BACK,” in support of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.
