Women’s Group to Patriots Owner Robert Kraft: Cut Antonio Brown Now

Last night, reports revealed that Antonio Brown of the New England Patriots, is accused of raping a woman who worked as his trainer, according to a federal lawsuit filed Tuesday in the Southern District of Florida.

According to the New York Times, the lawsuit says that Brown — in three separate incidents, two in June 2017 and another in May 2018 — sexually assaulted a woman named Britney Taylor, a gymnast whom he met while they were attending Central Michigan together and whom he later hired as a trainer.
Shaunna Thomas, co-founder and executive director of UltraViolet, a leading national women’s organization that has long demanded that the NFL hold players and members accountable for sexual and domestic violence, issued the following statement, calling on Patriots owner Robert Kraft to cut Antonio Brown:

“Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots must immediately cut Antonio Brown.

“Time and again, the NFL has failed to address the near epidemic levels of sexual assault and violence within the league – and it is long past time that the NFL start to live up to the commitments that they have made to believe and support survivors of sexual violence.”
