Arisha Hatch, the interim executive director of the women’s advocacy group UltraViolet, condemned the verdict as “a stain on a criminal justice system that for decades has failed to hold accountable abusers” and called it “an indictment of a culture in which not believing women and victims of sexual assault remains endemic.”
“This is a decisive moment for our justice system, one which threatens to undo the sacrifice of courageous survivors who stepped forward to share their stories in this trial, as well as to all those abused by Diddy who weren’t able to,” said Arisha Hatch, Ultraviolet's interim executive director
“Women shouldn’t have to worry about cancer when they apply their makeup,” said Shaunna Thomas of UltraViolet, a women’s group that joined forces with the Breast Cancer Fund and the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics to go after Revlon.
“These new ads by Metro Forward are not edgy, they are sexist, stupid and offensive. The PR failure shows just how little Metro Forward thinks of its everyday passenger, and highlights how out of touch the system is with the DC-area residents that they serve,” Shaunna Thomas, co-founder of UltraViolet, said in a statement.

The complaint to the Judicial Standards Commission was filed Tuesday in Helena by representatives of the Montana National Organization for Women and a women’s rights group known as UltraViolet.
The National Organization of Women, better known as NOW, filed a complaint on Tuesday against Judge Todd Baugh of Billings for his comments and perceived leniency during the sentencing of Stacey Rambold… On Tuesday, members of NOW along with a group known as Ultraviolet delivered 144,000 signatures in boxes along with the complaint to Montana’s Judicial Standards Commission in Helena.

“What an awesome moment this is. I cannot tell you how many people are overjoyed right now that this is happening. It’s a huge, huge thing,” said Shaunna Thomas, co-founder of Ultraviolet, a women’s rights advocacy group that strongly opposed Summers based in part on what Thomas called “character issues” dating back to his days as president of Harvard.
