Prominent Feminist Group Tells Republicans Who Confirmed AG Todd Blanche: Women Are Watching and We Will Remember.

UltraViolet Action, a national women’s rights and survivor justice group, denounces the Senate’s vote to confirm Todd Blanche as Attorney General, and renews calls to the House Oversight Committee to investigate and hold accountable the Epstein network and its enablers.

UltraViolet Action, a leading national women-led gender-justice organization responsible for numerous impactful campaigns that create a cost for sexism and sexual violence, released the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted today to confirm Todd Blanche as Attorney General of the Department of Justice (DOJ):

“We already knew that Todd Blanche and Donald Trump never cared about the 1,000 survivors who were exploited and abused through Jeffrey Epstein’s network.” said Nicole Regalado, Vice President of Campaigns at UltraViolet Action. “What is a surprise, and a damning one, too, is the fact that a majority of Senate Republicans are just as willing to protect predators and pedophiles for political gain.”

It’s clear that Epstein’s network of abuse was enabled by powerful individuals across political, business, entertainment, and academic institutions. Donald Trump was part of those elite circles, maintaining a well-documented close personal relationship with Epstein for over a decade. Trump’s name appears more than 38,000 times in Epstein-related files—a level of documented proximity that raises serious, unresolved questions requiring full transparency. Now, Trump’s personal lawyer will remain in charge of that investigation. Blanche’s disastrous tenure as acting attorney general was defined by political retribution, self-dealing, and a singular obsession with catering to Trump’s every whim, no matter the cost to survivors and our democracy. He has made clear that, under his leadership, the Justice Department will not investigate or prosecute those who helped facilitate or were directly involved in Epstein’s crime ring.

“Blanche’s confirmation is an insult to survivors, one that begs an important question for Republicans: With sixty percent of Americans disapproving of Trump’s handling of the Epstein files, how will you explain your complicity to voters this November? It’s now up to members of the House Oversight Committee to decide whether they have the courage and moral clarity to investigate powerful Epstein enablers and those who protected them. It’s either that or, like their Senate colleagues, aligning themselves with a sexist and cruel administration hell bent on sweeping one of the largest child sex trafficking rings of our time under the rug. Women are watching, and we will remember which members of Congress do the right thing,” continued Regalado.

UltraViolet Action has been one of the leading voices in denouncing Blanche’s disdain for survivors and failure to release all of the Epstein files, as required by the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act. The organization launched a petition demanding Blanche’s ouster, which drew thousands of signatures, and compiled a detailed record of his many disqualifying actions and statements, including his role in the Trump administration’s Epstein cover-up campaign at weareultraviolet.org/todd-blanche-doj-nomination.
