Women’s Group: “If Brett Kavanaugh Really Wanted To Get To The Truth, He’d Go To The FBI, Not Fox News”
Moments ago, Fox News host Martha MacCallum interviewed Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his wife about his nomination and the mounting sexual assault allegations against him.
In reaction to the interview, Shaunna Thomas, co-founder and executive director of UltraViolet Action, a leading national women’s group, issued the following statement:
“If Kavanaugh really wanted to get to the truth, he’d go to the FBI, not Fox News. By choosing to run to the comfort of a partisan network like Fox, Kavanaugh showed that he’s more interested in taking a page from Donald Trump’s playbook than proving to the American public he can be a fair minded jurist. This was the move of a political hack, not a nominee to the Supreme Court.
“Brett Kavanaugh already has a clear and well documented record of lying to Congress and the American people. What we saw tonight was more of the same. His performance was beyond shameful and proved beyond a reasonable doubt how totally unfit he is to serve on the Supreme Court. He should withdraw his nomination.
