Women’s Group Responds to Domestic Abuse Allegations Against Rep. Alan Grayson
Statement from Karin Roland, chief campaigns officer at UltraViolet, a national women’s advocacy organization, in response to domestic abuse allegations against Alan Grayson:
“The latest domestic abuse allegations against Alan Grayson are beyond troubling — they are totally disqualifying. Violence against women is unacceptable and Grayson must be held accountable.
“We call on local authorities to fully investigate these allegations and on all of our friends in the progressive movement to stand up and say ‘enough is enough.’ Together, the movement must make it clear that people who abuse women can never be so-called ‘progressive champions.’
“These latest allegations once again prove that Alan Grayson is unqualified to serve in public office. It is time that we stand up for women and against men like Grayson.”
