Women’s Group Slams Trump on Fiorina Attack

Late Wednesday, Presidential candidate Donald Trump attacked candidate Carly Fiorina, not for her positions, but for her face. In response, anti-sexism group UltraViolet issued the following statement:

“Donald Trump’s disgusting attack on Carly Fiorina’s appearance is a new low, even for Trump,” said Nita Chaudhary, co-founder of UltraViolet.

“This has real consequences for women’s equality: Commenting on female candidate’s looks and appearance isn’t just sexist base rattling, it actually costs female candidates votes. Plain and simple: this kind of politics keeps women out of office. This dirty game Trump is playing of reducing women to their looks is just another part of the Republican war on women, and is wildly out of line. We urge every candidate for President to condemn this misogyny circus.”
