Protesters from UltraViolet Action set up outside Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference to call for Apple to take child sexual abuse imagery more seriously. Their flyers ask for the removal of Grok, X, and other nudify technology as well as to crack down on child sexual abuse material in iCloud.
At the Cupertino Apple Park campus, Apple has welcomed developers and members of the press to watch its WWDC opening keynote. But protesters from UltraViolet, a women's advocacy group, are also in attendance with a sign claiming "Apple is powered by child sexual abuse."
"We are really imploring Apple and Google to take this extremely seriously," Jenna Sherman, UltraViolet's campaign director, told Reuters ahead of the letter's release. "They are enabling a system in which thousands, if not tens of thousands, of people, particularly women and children, are being sexually abused through the help of their own app stores."
“Until each and every campaign supporting Jonathan Ross is taken down, GoFundMe will remain complicit in legitimizing ICE's campaign of terror and violence on our communities,” UltraViolet said in a statement.

Gender justice group Ultraviolet has mounted a campaign to pressure Apple and Google to remove X from their respective app stores on the grounds that X violates their child sexual abuse guidelines.
Jenna Sherman, a campaign director focused on tech and gender at Ultraviolet Action, said Trump’s order “only has one group of winners: his wealthy donors in the tech sector.”
